Medical Records Clerk

We are looking for a dedicated Medical Records Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Ravenna, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for handling essential medical documentation tasks, ensuring the accurate maintenance and organization of patient records. This is a fully onsite position with a structured schedule, including a paid lunch break.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain and organize patient medical records in compliance with established standards.
• Utilize electronic medical records systems to accurately input and retrieve data.
• Scan, fax, and file medical documentation to ensure efficient record-keeping.
• Apply basic medical terminology knowledge to coding and documentation tasks.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of patient information at all times.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to provide timely access to necessary medical records.
• Handle administrative duties related to medical documentation and filing.
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues with electronic records systems when necessary.
• Prepare reports and summaries related to patient documentation as requested.
• Maintain a consistent workflow to meet deadlines and organizational needs.
• Previous experience in medical records or related administrative roles.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, including Cerner technologies.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology is required.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle scanning, faxing, and filing tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of coding practices is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Ravenna, Ohio.
