Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Aiea, Hawaii. In this role, you will handle essential financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting the company's payment processes. Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices with precision, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper documentation.

• Match invoices against purchase orders and delivery receipts, promptly addressing and resolving any discrepancies.

• Monitor and reconcile accounts payable aging reports to maintain timely and accurate vendor payments.

• Review and process subcontractor pay applications, verifying compliance with lien waivers and insurance requirements.

• Input and validate job-specific coding in the accounting system to ensure accurate allocation to construction projects.

• Professionally respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

• Assist with month-end close processes, including preparing accounts payable reports and reconciling accounts.

• Maintain well-organized and up-to-date accounts payable files and documentation.

• Collaborate with project management and procurement teams to ensure accurate budget tracking and reporting.

• Adhere to internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements related to accounts payable processes.

• Proven experience in accounts payable, including invoice processing and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in coding invoices and ensuring proper allocation to projects.
• Familiarity with check runs and managing payment processes.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to resolve discrepancies effectively and communicate professionally with vendors.
• Knowledge of lien waivers and insurance requirements for subcontractor payments.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
• Capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while meeting deadlines.
