We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Centralia. MO. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in supporting our HR operations, including full-cycle recruitment, employee relations, payroll administration, and compliance with employment laws. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with management and contribute to the success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, background checks, and onboarding for new employees.
• Provide guidance to management on employee relations issues, conduct internal investigations, and ensure consistent application of company policies.
• Administer and oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, disability plans, and leave of absence procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Maintain and update HR data systems, ensuring accurate payroll processing and seamless integration with other systems.
• Conduct HR presentations, such as orientations for new employees and training sessions, to effectively communicate company policies and objectives.
• Prepare and submit reports, including headcount summaries, affirmative action plans, and regulatory filings, while maintaining proper documentation for audits.
• Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture.
• Support special projects and participate in regular management and staff meetings to present HR-related updates.
• Handle unemployment claims and ensure compliance with all documentation and reporting requirements.
• Strong understanding of employment laws and ability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in HR systems and payroll software, with experience in SAP R/3 preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees and management at all levels.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience preparing reports, conducting presentations, and leading employee training programs.
• Familiarity with performance management systems and employee engagement initiatives.
