Desktop Support Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to provide efficient technical assistance to both on-site and remote employees in Dallas, Texas. This role requires hands-on expertise in resolving hardware and software issues, installing and upgrading systems, and maintaining smooth IT operations. Ideal candidates will have strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of office IT systems.

Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues to on-site and remote users.
• Perform Level I and Level II troubleshooting, resolving technical problems promptly and professionally.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and imaging systems.
• Upgrade operating systems and software applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, including VPN technologies.
• Manage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory, including password resets and account creation.
• Deliver basic training to employees on system usage and tools, ensuring effective adoption.
• Document system events and maintain records to support seamless IT functionality.
• Test and evaluate new technologies to enhance IT processes and user experience.
• Handle 15-20 technical issues daily, prioritizing tasks and maintaining high service standards.
• Technical degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant technical experience, including at least one year in a Corporate IT Service Desk or Helpdesk environment.
• Proficiency in PC desktop hardware, Windows 10, and desktop imaging.
• Experience with Active Directory for user account management and password resets.
• Familiarity with VPN technologies and VoIP systems.
• Strong knowledge of 365 Enterprise and Office 365 applications.
• Intermediate networking skills and the ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges efficiently.
