What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit/ Collections Supervisor/Manager position at Robert Half?
Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise a team of collectors, providing guidance and support while overseeing their daily activities.
• Review aging reports and individual collector portfolios on a weekly basis to ensure effective account management.
• Handle escalated or challenging accounts, offering resolution strategies and direct interventions as necessary.
• Oversee the preparation and processing of preliminary notices, lien releases, and coordination with legal teams.
• Collaborate with leadership and provide regular updates to the Credit Manager.
• Utilize Business Central and proprietary systems to monitor accounts receivable and credit workflows.
• Perform basic data sorting and filtering tasks using Excel to support reporting and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with construction credit laws, lien rights, and insurance requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with litigation or legal escalations related to collections.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to streamline credit processes and ensure timely resolutions.
• Proven experience in credit and collections, with a focus on the construction industry or similar sectors.
• Prior supervisory experience managing credit or collections teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction credit laws, lien rights, and related legal processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Familiarity with Business Central or similar accounting and credit systems.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
• Ability to handle escalated accounts and maintain compliance with legal and financial regulations.
