What are the responsibilities and job description for the Attorney/Lawyer position at Robert Half?
We are looking for an experienced Attorney to join a prominent corporation in the Atlanta area. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with the General Counsel and other team members in supporting a dynamic and growing organization. The ideal candidate will bring a versatile skill set and a strong background in corporate law, with an emphasis on contracts.
Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including procurement, vendor agreements, zoning, environmental, real estate, and M& A transaction contracts.
• Collaborate closely with the General Counsel to ensure legal compliance and effective contract management.
• Maintain detailed records of legal matters using internal systems such as Excel logs.
• Provide support to the operations team by addressing various legal issues and requirements.
• Liaise with outside counsel as needed to ensure specialized legal matters are handled effectively.
• Assist in succession planning efforts by contributing to long-term organizational strategies.
• Support cross-functional teams by addressing legal needs across multiple company locations.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney, with a strong generalist background and a focus on contracts.
• Previous experience in a law firm setting and in-house exposure.
• Proficiency in managing and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Knowledge of corporate law principles, including zoning, environmental, and real estate matters.
• Familiarity with M& A transactions and related legal documentation.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to maintain detailed logs of legal matters.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
