Assistant Controller

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Jeffersonville, Indiana. This role will play a pivotal part in managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and contributing to strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate and efficient financial processes.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger operations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, including performing variance analyses.
• Collaborate with external auditors to support audit processes and ensure timely completion.
• Supervise and guide accounting team members, fostering growth and providing performance feedback.
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency within accounting functions.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and manage special projects as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable financial regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
• In-depth understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar systems.
• Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to handle complex data analysis.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced work environment.
