Application Development Project Manager/Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior PeopleSoft Application Developer to join our remote team, 6 months contract to hire opportunity . The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of PeopleSoft applications, with a focus on HCM, FSCM, or Campus Solutions modules. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across functional and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain PeopleSoft applications using PeopleTools, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, and other tools.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Customize and enhance delivered PeopleSoft modules to meet business needs.
• Develop and maintain interfaces between PeopleSoft and external systems.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and migrations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, security policies, and best practices.
• Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7 years of experience in PeopleSoft development.
• Expertise in PeopleTools (Application Designer, PeopleCode, SQR, etc.).
• Experience with one or more PeopleSoft modules: HCM, FSCM, Campus Solutions.
• Strong understanding of PeopleSoft architecture and database design (Oracle preferred).
• Experience with Fluid UI and modern PeopleSoft features.
• Familiarity with integration technologies (REST, SOAP, XML, etc.).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with PeopleSoft 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.5x.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins).
• Experience with cloud-hosted PeopleSoft environments.
• Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
