Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Terre Hill, Pennsylvania. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations by ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and attention to detail to a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process outgoing payments while ensuring adherence to company financial policies and procedures.

• Manage daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.

• Reconcile accounts payable ledgers to confirm all bills and payments are accurately posted.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly statements.

• Prepare detailed reports to provide updates on accounts payable statuses.

• Apply knowledge of expense accounts and cost centers in payment processing.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including W-9 forms and sales tax.

• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address payment inquiries and ensure smooth operations.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
• Proven ability to manage financial records, including calculating, posting, and reconciling accounts.
• Proficiency in data entry and a strong aptitude for working with numbers.
• Familiarity with spreadsheets, accounting software, and proprietary financial tools.
• Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office applications.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes, including account coding, invoice coding, ACH payments, and check runs.
