Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Gilroy, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments while maintaining compliance with company policies. Responsibilities:
• Process and verify invoices for accuracy and proper coding before approval.
• Manage check runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
• Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure payment accuracy.
• Code invoices according to company standards and guidelines.
• Assist in monthly and annual reconciliations for accounts payable.
• Monitor accounts payable aging reports to prioritize payments.
• Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and ensure proper documentation.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve accounts payable processes.
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
• Familiarity with coding invoices and processing payments.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing and check run procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.
• Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
