Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for a highly organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Ashland, Nebraska. This role focuses on managing invoice processing, vendor communication, and payment reconciliation to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Sage 300 and a strong grasp of full-cycle accounts payable procedures.

Responsibilities:
• Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently using Sage 300.
• Match, batch, and code invoices in compliance with company policies.
• Maintain detailed vendor records and reconcile vendor statements regularly.
• Ensure timely payment of invoices while resolving discrepancies with vendors.
• Support monthly accounts payable close activities and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and process check runs, electronic payments, and wire transfers.
• Address internal and external inquiries regarding payment statuses.
• Organize and maintain proper documentation and filing for accounts payable records.
• Provide documentation and reports for audits as needed.
• Collaborate with purchasing and receiving departments to resolve invoice-related issues.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable roles.
• Proficiency in Sage 300 is mandatory.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and best practices in accounts payable.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software tools.
• Experience with invoice processing, coding, and reconciliation.
