Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Warren, Ohio. This long-term contract position involves managing key aspects of the accounts payable cycle, ensuring financial accuracy, and maintaining organized records. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:
• Handle the complete accounts payable cycle, including matching, batching, and coding invoices.
• Reconcile outstanding invoices with general ledger accounts during month-end reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of check runs and payments.
• Maintain detailed and organized financial records for auditing purposes.
• Utilize accounting systems such as JD Edwards, AS400, or similar platforms to manage transactions.
• Perform data entry and coding of invoices with precision and efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve workflow processes.
• Support the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable activities.
• Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounts payable roles.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as JD Edwards, AS400, or comparable platforms.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial processes.
• Proven ability to manage high volumes of invoices and payments efficiently.
• Experience with reconciliation and month-end reporting.
• Knowledge of accounting software like QuickBooks, Oracle, or SAP is advantageous.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
