Accounts Payable Analyst – Hybrid (3 Days In-Office)
Location: Arlington, VA
A fast-growing renewable energy organization in Arlington, VA is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Analyst to join its Finance & Accounting team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong vendor relationships. The AP Analyst will play a key role in supporting daily accounting operations, process improvements, and team-wide initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices and customer payments with accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage the accounts payable inbox, providing prompt and professional responses to vendor inquiries.
- Maintain up-to-date vendor records, master data, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and process weekly payment runs to ensure timely disbursements.
- Adhere to accounting distribution schedules and post transactions accurately to the general ledger.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for accounts payable and accounts receivable subledgers.
- Research and resolve discrepancies or incorrect postings.
- Monitor outstanding balances and coordinate with vendors to address issues promptly.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve AP processes.
- Organize and maintain accounting documentation in compliance with internal standards.
- Track office supply inventory and liaise with building management as needed.
- Support travel and expense reporting, as well as logistics for team meetings.
- Manage front desk and office reception activities, serving as a professional point of contact.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounts payable.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong understanding of the broader impact of accounts payable on financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Work Schedule:
- Hybrid schedule with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.
Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
