The qualified candidate will have a degree in accounting and finance, have a mix of public and private as well as a CPA.
Responsibilities
· Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and accruals.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives for accounting procedures and policies.
· Prepare accurate financial statements and support audit activities, collaborating closely with external CPA firms.
· Design, develop, and maintain both standard and ad hoc financial reporting.
· Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and recommend process improvements aligned with evolving business needs.
· Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, offering expert perspectives to inform executive decision-making; leverage advanced spreadsheet modeling to assess risk, optimize efficiency, and guide strategic planning.
· Recommend and implement enhancements to accounting processes and controls to improve efficiency, accelerate closing timelines, and deliver timely, actionable data to finance and senior management; provide training as needed.
· Lead and participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
· Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering growth through regular feedback, performance reviews, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
· Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in managing shifting priorities and dynamic business environments
Salary : $135,000 - $160,000
