Accounting Manager/Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee and enhance internal controls, operational processes, and risk management strategies. This role is critical in driving organizational efficiency, consistency, and compliance while supporting strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor for process improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with compliance standards and long-term goals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a detailed Quality Assurance (QA) program to ensure operational excellence.

• Collaborate on the creation of annual plans, incorporating risk assessments and organizational priorities.

• Conduct strategic reviews and testing to evaluate risks and deliver actionable recommendations.

• Manage limited-scope projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and compliance.

• Educate staff and stakeholders on internal controls and risk mitigation strategies.

• Provide audit and compliance support to shared services teams.

• Advocate for process improvements that align with the organization’s mission and sustainability objectives.

• Partner with external auditors to ensure the effective implementation and evaluation of internal controls.

• Prepare detailed reports and analysis to support decision-making and enhance transparency.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business required; advanced certifications such as CPA or CIA preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience in public accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and enterprise systems; experience with PeopleSoft is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of auditing practices and U.S. GAAP standards.
• Proven ability to implement and assess internal controls effectively.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of working cross-functionally.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
