We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our accounting team in Upper Marlboro, MD. The role is onsite and 100% in office. Responsibilities include processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, performing reconciliations, and assisting with audits. Proficiency in Sage is a plus. Experience in construction or home improvement industry is a plus. This is a full-time, hourly position paying $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience.
Duties
- Process accounts payable invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and tracking payments
- Perform regular account reconciliations and balance financial records
- Assist with audits and reviews of financial transactions and reports
- Utilize Sage for financial reporting and accounting tasks
- Maintain organized financial records and files
Requirements
- Minimum 2-years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in Sage is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic math and accounting skills
- Experience in construction or home improvement industry a plus
