Position Purpose:
Perform entry-level accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.
Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience in a finance-related role is preferred.
- Must have knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting principles and procedures.
- Strong organizational abilities with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Proficiency in MS Office and competency in computer software.
Job Requirements:
- Assemble, review, and verify invoices and check requests.
- Flag and clarify unusual or questionable invoice items or prices.
- Reconcile invoices to purchase orders when needed.
- Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system daily.
- Process payments in a timely manner.
- Maintain the check schedule to correspond with the supervisor on check delivery.
- Track expense and process expense reports.
- Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail for all clinic departments.
- Monitor and requisition office supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Maintain vendor files and track contract renewal and opt-out dates.
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
- Assist with month-end close.
- Maintain monthly reports related to provider productivity.
- Print all accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable files.
- Compile and maintain verified accounts payable records.
- Complete deposits daily and reconcile within Athena.
- Perform as back-up support for the Purchasing Coordinator, including handling incoming deliveries, assisting with gathering supply requisition needs, etc.
- Act as back-up for the Billing Coordinator(s) as needed.
- Assist with Year End Audit requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
