- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred; SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification or equivalent HR credential preferred
- 7–10 years of progressive human resources leadership experience, including expertise in HR strategy, compliance, employee relations, leave management, benefits administration and organizational development
- Demonstrated experience with PEO models, HRIS systems, payroll platforms, and employment law compliance, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Strong experience in recruitment and retention
- Valid driver’s license with ability to support local travel across campus locations Your responsibilities as the Director of Human Resources will include:
- Lead strategic human resources leadership, aligning HR strategy, workforce planning, and organizational development with mission-driven education and adult services operations
- Manage PEO vendor partnerships and HR compliance, ensuring delivery of payroll, benefits administration, risk management, and employment law adherence (federal, state, local regulations)
- Oversee full-cycle talent acquisition and retention strategies, including recruitment marketing, onboarding optimization, workforce analytics, and employee engagement initiatives
- Direct HR operations and HRIS systems management, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and seamless integration across payroll, benefits, and internal platforms
- Guide employee relations, performance management, and policy development, resolving complex workplace issues while fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture
- Oversee employee housing program
- H1-B visa administration Requirements:
- Legal authorization to work in the US
- Suitable background check result (CORI,SORI, DCF) and fingerprinting required.
- CPR/AED/Standard First Aid certified or willingness to obtain
- Ability to navigate a large campus as needed with extended walking, climbing stairs.
