We have immediate openings for Residential Instructors who provide direct and ongoing supervision, support, and instruction to students, while overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the dormitory.
Classification: Exempt/salaried
Full-time, on-site position
Reports to: Residential Supervisor
Essential Job Function:
-Full time position requiring maturity, initiative, and a positive, proactive, student-oriented style.
-Provide direct and ongoing supervision, support, and instruction to students, while coordinating the day-to-day operations of the dormitory.
-Provide an engaged, structured and supportive dormitory environment designed to promote growth and independence through assessment, direct instruction, positive reinforcement and the setting of clear and consistent expectations.
-Meet the individual and collective needs of assigned students relative to their unique learning styles.
Key competencies:
-Demonstrate an understanding of the School mission and adhere to all policies and procedures.
-Experience working with students with learning and intellectual disabilities and/or a willingness to engage in professional development to gain the knowledge necessary to effectively work with the Riverview student profile.
-Demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills.
-Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
-Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions with students, families and co-workers.
-Comply with School, OSHA and Board of Health safety guidelines and training.
Requirements:
Suitable Background check result (CORI, SORI, DCF) and fingerprinting required
Legal authorization to work in the US
CPR/AED/Standard First Aid /EpiPen certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Valid Driver’s license
Shift options:
Full Time – Sunday-Wednesday (Shifts include evenings and weekends)
Full Time – Wednesday-Saturday (Shifts include evenings and weekends)
Residential Instructor (day shift/no overnights) pay range: $32,000- $37,500.
Residential Instructor (with overnights) pay range: $62,500 – $74,500.
Candidates who bring advanced expertise or highly specialized skills may be eligible for compensation above the posted range.
