Riverview School is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team & help
provide nutritious, high-quality meals to students & staff in a
supportive, mission-driven environment. This position plays an important
role in creating a positive dining experience while helping support a
diverse population of students & adult program participants ranging from
adolescence through adulthood. Working closely with Riverview\'s Lead
Cook & culinary leadership team, the Cook will assist with all aspects
of daily meal preparation, food service, kitchen operations, & food
safety. The ideal candidate is dependable, collaborative, organized, &
committed to maintaining high standards of quality & consistency. Key
Responsibilities: Prepare & serve meals for students & staff using
standardized recipes & established production procedures. Maintain the
highest standards of food quality, food safety, cleanliness, & kitchen
organization. Receive, store, & rotate food & supply deliveries. Assist
with inventory management & food production records. Complete required
food safety & HACCP documentation, including temperature & sanitation
logs. Support special events, community meals, & fundraising activities.
Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, & organization of kitchen & storage
areas as needed. Communicate student preferences & feedback to culinary
leadership. Build positive relationships with students, families,
colleagues, & visitors. Follow all Riverview policies, food service
standards, & Department of Health regulations. Qualifications: At least
one year of professional cooking experience. ServSafe Certification or
ability to obtain certification before employment. Knowledge of food
safety, sanitation, & basic cooking techniques. Ability to follow
recipes, production schedules, & preparation quantities accurately.
Strong communication, teamwork, & organizational skills. Flexibility &
willingness to adapt to changing priorities. Commitment to Riverview?s

Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, & push supplies & boxes up to 50
pounds. Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, & reach
to store/retrieve supplies. Ability to walk extended distances, climb
stairs, & generally navigate a large campus environment Occasional
environmental exposures to inclement weather. Other Requirements: Legal
authorization to work in the US Suitable background check &
fingerprinting results CPR/AED/Standard First Aid or ability to obtain
within 6 months of hire
