Pay Rate: $40/hour

Schedule: 40 hours/week (7:00 AM – 3:00/4:00 PM, flexible)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to oversee billing processes, ensure accuracy in invoicing, and support project financial operations. This role requires strong collaboration with project teams and attention to detail in managing billing milestones and payment tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to understand contract requirements, billing milestones, and payment terms
• Review and validate billing milestones against contract documents
• Maintain and update billing milestone schedules in internal systems
• Ensure project change orders are accurately reflected in billing tools
• Verify billing data for accuracy and completeness
• Maintain detailed records of billing transactions and generate reports
• Monitor customer payments and report upcoming or overdue invoices
• Support on-time billing performance by assisting with documentation preparation
• Assist in lien waiver preparation and notarization for invoicing requirements
• Track and report service hours against contract scope
• Monitor non-billable hours and allocate them appropriately

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in billing or accounts receivable
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
