Location: Greenville, SC (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite)
Type: Contract
Duration: June 29, 2026 – June 28, 2027
Pay Rate: $60/hr on W2
Hours: 40 hours/week
Travel: ~10%
About the Role
We are seeking a Project Engineer who is passionate about solving complex technical challenges and contributing to innovative energy solutions. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to drive impactful engineering outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customer inquiries, change requests, and communications related to gas turbine and generator systems
- Lead coordination across engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), project management, and supply chain teams
- Drive resolution of technical issues and ensure alignment with project requirements
- Conduct customer meetings such as Kick-Off Meetings (CKOMs) and Design Liaison Meetings (DLMs)
- Review contract documentation and communicate requirements to internal teams
- Evaluate scope changes, including cost and schedule impacts, and support change management processes
- Provide technical guidance to project management and engineering teams
- Manage engineering budgets and support financial forecasting (EACs)
- Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and present updates to leadership
- Drive continuous improvement by capturing and implementing lessons learned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering OR High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Engineering, Design Engineering, or Field Engineering (generator-related experience preferred)
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication and leadership skills (both written and verbal)
