Role Description
The Intake Specialist is a volunteer role responsible for managing client intake and ensuring a streamlined onboarding process for individuals seeking support through LTBU Foundation's programs. This role involves conducting intake assessments, gathering and verifying client information, assisting clients with insurance-related inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service. The Intake Specialist will collaborate before the CAC steps in to facilitate the enrollment or the revenue integrity SME steps in for debt advocacy. This hybrid role is located in Houston, TX, with opportunities for occasional remote work.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Experience in Client Intake and Customer Service to ensure seamless onboarding and support processes
- Knowledge of Insurance processes and policies to assist clients with inquiries or concerns
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Empathy and a client-focused approach in line with the organization’s mission
- Experience in healthcare or nonprofit settings is a plus
- Fluency in multiple languages is an asset
- Training provided if needed and candidacy requirements are met.
- TRANSPORTATION IS REQUIRED. (Gas and meals reimbursed with proof of receipts up to $50 per week)
