In this role, you’ll support the design and optimisation of mechanical components for powertrain systems, with a focus on detailing fabricated weldments and machined parts. You’ll produce accurate manufacturing drawings, ensuring components are fully defined for production. Working closely with engineers and vendors, you’ll support component selection, resolve design and manufacturing queries, and help deliver reliable, manufacturable solutions.

This role would suit a Detailing Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineer with Industrial Manufacturing experience, looking to step-into a high-impact technical role with extensive growth potential and training on machinery unique to the business.

The Role:

• Design and detail fabricated weldments and machined components for mechanical powertrain systems.
• Produce manufacturing drawings for parts including frames, brackets, shafts, and housings.
• Work with engineers and vendors to ensure designs are fully defined, manufacturable, and production ready.

The Candidate:

• Mechanical design and detailing experience with proficiency in 3D CAD.
• Ability to produce manufacturing drawings for fabricated and machined components in industrial environments.
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
