• Compensation: $1,200 – $1,400 per week (Commensurate with experience)

About Our Client

Our Client is a premier, ACA-accredited, traditional all-girls summer camp located on the stunning shores of Fairview Lake in the Pocono Mountains. Since 1908, they have been dedicated to providing a rich, "unplugged" experience that empowers girls to build confidence, forge lifelong friendships, and create lasting memories.

With a small, close-knit community of approximately 130 campers and 65 staff members, our Client prides itself on a culture where every single person is known and cared for. Unlike larger camps where medical staff might feel isolated, here, our nurses are the heart of the camp. You are fully integrated into camp life—sitting with the Directors at the head table during meals and participating in the high-energy traditions that make summer so special.

The Role: General Responsibilities

As a Camp Nurse, you are much more than a healthcare provider; you are a mentor and a vital member of the leadership community. Because of the camp's size, you will have the unique opportunity to provide personalized care and build real relationships with the campers and staff.

Key Clinical Duties:

• Triage & Assessment: Lead the daily "Health Call" and assess the needs of campers and staff throughout the day.

• Medication Management: Safely administer daily medications and maintain a highly organized pharmacy and medical supply inventory.

• Urgent Care Coordination: Coordinate and manage off-site appointments or urgent care visits as needed.

• First Aid Readiness: Prepare and maintain first aid kits for various departments, including field sports, the climbing tower, and the lakefront.

• Trip Support: Partner with counselors to provide medical planning and supplies for exciting off-site trips.

Community Engagement:

• Health Education: Promote and teach healthy lifestyle habits to the girls in a fun, approachable way.

• Safety Collaboration: Work closely with the Camp Directors to maintain a safe, healthy environment across the entire property.

• Be Present: Participate in camp-wide activities, campfire songs, and community traditions. We want our nurses to be a visible, smiling face that the girls trust and look up to!

Qualifications & Requirements

We are seeking energetic, compassionate female nurses who are ready to trade the fluorescent lights of a clinic for the sunshine of the Poconos. Because this is an all-girls camp, this position is open to female applicants only.

• Licensure: Valid RN

• Spirit: A positive, "can-do" attitude with the flexibility to handle the fast-paced, ever-changing environment of a summer camp.

• Organizational Skills: You should be a "pro" at keeping a clinic organized and managing schedules independently.

• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills; you must be comfortable speaking with concerned parents, young campers, and fellow staff members.

• Experience: Experience with pediatrics, school nursing, or previous camp settings is a significant plus, but we welcome any nurse with a warm heart and a love for the outdoors.
