Camp Registered Nurse (RN)

Dates: Partial Season, June 24th- July 21st ( 3.5 weeks)

Compensation: $1,200 – $1,400 per week (Commensurate with experience).

Travel Stipend: Travel allowance provided to help you get to camp.

Housing & Meals: Private bedroom provided with a shared bathroom located right in the Health Center. All meals (room and board) are completely included.

Family Perk: If you have age-appropriate children, they can participate in the camp program tuition-free while you work!

Licensing Support: Must have a NY license OR be eligible for one. Our Camp Partner will cover the NY licensure application fees for out-of-state Registered Nurses.

Mentorship: Work under the direct supervision of an on-site Medical Doctor (MD). This is an incredible opportunity for clinical learning and hands-on experience in a supportive setting.

About Our Camp Partner
Our Client operates a premier co-ed residential summer camp built on a foundation of strong family values, community orientation, and a high-energy "camp life" culture.
When you join this team, you aren't just a face in a clinic; you are an essential member of a vibrant, multi-disciplinary health team. You will work alongside a collaborative medical staff and on-site physicians in a supportive atmosphere. While the Health Center is your home base, you are encouraged to dive into the community, utilize the sports facilities, enjoy the private lake, and become a true part of the summer family.
The Role: General Responsibilities
As a frontline resource for the health and safety of the entire camp, you will manage a variety of pediatric and adolescent health needs. You will work 8 hours per day, 6 days per week, with a schedule coordinated by the Head Nurse.
Key Clinical Duties:

Health Screenings: Conduct intake screenings for campers and staff, including temperature and skin checks.

Medication Administration: Manage the organized distribution of medications for a diverse camp population.

Acute Care: Provide care for common camp ailments, including tick removal, topical skin conditions, dehydration, and viral infections.

Clinical Operations: Manage medical logs, patient paperwork, and Health Center communications.

In-Patient Care: Monitor and care for campers who need to stay overnight in the Health Center.

Rotation: Participate in a nighttime "on-duty" rotation to ensure the community is supported 24/7.
Qualifications & Requirements
We are looking for energetic Registered Nurses who love working with children and thrive in a team environment.

Licensure: Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license (or willingness to obtain with fees covered by the camp). Note: This facility exclusively accepts licensed RNs.

Vetting: Must pass a background check and provide at least two references (one from a past or current direct supervisor and one from a clinical environment; no personal references).

Spirit: A willingness to learn and a desire to participate in camp activities during your free time.

Note on Visitors/Pets: While we love animals, no pets are allowed. Spouses are welcome to visit during your days off and weekends.
