Compensation: Very competitive weekly rates based on the role:

Staff Nurse (RN): $1300- $1,400 per week

Charge Nurse: Up to $1,400- $1,600 per week

Housing & Meals: Private bedroom provided with a shared bathroom right in the Health Center. Full room and board (all meals) are completely covered!

Schedule: 6 days a week with one full day off each week. Shift schedules (mornings vs. nights) are collaboratively split and figured out directly with the nursing team at camp to ensure excellent coverage and personal downtime.

Family Perk: Bringing your kids to camp? If you have age-appropriate dependents (entering 2nd grade through entering 9th grade), they can attend camp and participate in the program while you work!

Our Client operates a premier, high-energy sleepaway camp nestled in beautiful Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, right in the heart of the Pocono Mountains. Catering to a tight-knit community of 165 campers alongside an energetic counselor staff, this camp is built on community, fun, and total support for every individual.The Health Center here is a vital, bustling hub of camp life, not an isolated clinic. Our Client invests heavily in their medical staff, operating with a robust team of 5 to 6 nurses and a dedicated Healthcare Administrator to manage paperwork and logistics. You will be fully integrated into a collaborative, lively camp culture where your presence is celebrated and you truly get to experience the magic of summer camp.
The Role: General Responsibilities
Key Clinical Duties:

Daily Medical Care: Provide high-quality care to campers and staff handling minor camp injuries, typical summer illnesses, and general triage.

Medication Administration: Manage and distribute daily medications accurately according to camper health forms.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, organized electronic health records and logs.

Parent Communication: Act as a warm, reassuring point of contact to communicate health updates with parents when necessary.

Team Collaboration: Partner with the camp leadership and the specialized "Camp Care" team to support the mental and emotional well-being of the kids.

Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies on camp grounds and coordinate off-site care if higher-level medical attention is needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensure: Active RN license in Pennsylvania or a compact state RN license.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children is highly preferred (school nursing, pediatrics, ER, or past camp settings).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational and communication skills. You should feel comfortable collaborating closely within a team of fellow nurses.
- Camp Spirit: A positive attitude, flexibility, and a genuine willingness to jump into the camp community and traditions during your shifts!
