Job Summary
Ensure a large-scale training fleet remains mission-ready by executing routine inspections and rapid-response repairs. This role is vital to the operation’s success, directly impacting aircraft availability and ensuring student pilots have safe, reliable equipment for their daily flight rotations.
Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and inspections on trainer aircraft in strict accordance with FAA mandates.

Interpret and utilize technical resources such as wiring schematics, IPCs, maintenance manuals, and Airworthiness Directives.

Maintain meticulous records of all service actions to ensure immediate and compliant return-to-service.

Uphold rigorous standards for hangar cleanliness and workplace safety.

Coordinate closely with flight instructors and operations staff regarding maintenance timelines and fleet status.

Adapt to shifting priorities to minimize disruptions to the active flight schedule.

Provide flexible coverage across day or night shifts as operational demands require.
Minimum Requirements

Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.

Ability to secure Inspection Authorization (IA) within 90 days of joining.

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in general aviation maintenance.

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Physical capacity to lift 50 lbs and perform labor involving kneeling, bending, and standing.

Ability to work comfortably around aviation fuel, loud environments, and varying weather conditions.
Ideal Qualifications

Strong technical background with Piper aircraft.

Familiarity with Garmin G1000 integrated flight decks.

Expert knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91.

Confident decision-maker regarding airworthiness and diagnostic troubleshooting.

Proficient with Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking software like Talon RMS.
