Camp Nurse / Medic (RN, LPN, or EMT)
Summer 2026 | On-Site Residential Camp Role
Location: Minocqua, WI
Contract Dates: June 7 – August 6, 2026 (Full Season)

Weekly Pay: $1,000 – $1,500 (based on experience & certification)

EMTs & LPNs: Typically in the lower to mid range

RNs: Typically in the mid to higher range

Travel Support: Provided (details shared during interview)

Lakefront Campus with staff gathering spaces and scenic views
No pets permitted.
Staff housing is reserved for employees only (no family accommodations available).
Our Camp Partner is a well-established residential boys camp in Wisconsin, serving approximately 200 campers ages 8–16.
The camp is known for its strong community, high-energy environment, and robust athletics and waterfront programs. From water skiing to team sports, campers stay active all summer — creating a dynamic setting for medical staff.

Medical staff are fully integrated into camp life and play a key role in supporting both the physical and emotional well-being of campers.
The Role
This role is ideal for healthcare professionals who enjoy working with kids in an active, outdoor environment.
As part of the Health Center team, you will provide day-to-day medical care, respond to minor injuries and illnesses, and support overall camper wellness — similar to a school nurse role, but in a residential camp setting.
Due to the active nature of camp, experience with sports injuries, emergency response, or outdoor environments is highly valued.
Schedule

Morning and evening medication times

Lighter windows mid-day and afternoon

Team-based scheduling and coverage
Responsibilities
Clinical Care
-
Assess and treat routine injuries and illnesses
-
Provide first aid and triage care
-
Respond to urgent situations when needed
-
Support injury care related to sports and waterfront activities
Medication Administration
-
Organize and distribute daily medications
-
Maintain accurate documentation
-
Prepare medications for off-site trips or activities
Communication & Team Collaboration
-
Communicate with parents when appropriate
-
Work closely with the medical team and camp leadership
-
Support counselors and staff with health-related concerns
Camp Community Presence

Be visible and approachable throughout camp
-
Provide reassurance and emotional support to campers
-
Contribute to a safe, positive camp environment
Qualifications
-
One of the following active certifications ( Male & Female nurses accepted) :
-
Registered Nurse (RN)
-
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
-
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in at least one of the following:

Emergency / urgent care
-
Pediatrics
-
School nursing
-
Sports medicine or athletic environments

Current CPR / First Aid certification (required)

Ability to assess, triage, and respond to injuries and illnesses independently

Comfortable working in an active, outdoor setting with a high volume of sports and waterfront activities

Strong communication and teamwork skills
