Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to lead technical accounting initiatives, oversee core accounting operations, and drive continuous process improvements. This role is well‑suited for a hands‑on accounting leader with experience supporting Manufacturing and SaaS business models in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical accounting analysis and application of U.S. GAAP, including areas such as revenue recognition (ASC 606), inventory costing, capitalization, leases, and complex or non‑routine transactions
- Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end close processes
- Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, review, and development support
- Partner with FP&A, operations, and business leaders to ensure accurate accounting treatment for manufacturing operations and SaaS revenue streams
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance close efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and improve scalability
- Own accounting policies and procedures, ensuring documentation remains current as the business evolves
- Support internal and external audits, acting as a key point of contact for auditors
- Assist with preparation and review of financial statements and related disclosures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including people leadership
- Strong technical accounting expertise under U.S. GAAP
- Prior experience in Manufacturing and/or SaaS environments strongly preferred
- Proven success leading process improvement or transformation initiatives
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
