Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for commercial, institutional, municipal, industrial, and public-sector projects.
- Prepare construction documents, calculations, specifications, and engineering reports.
- Design structural systems utilizing steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and other building materials.
- Conduct site investigations and existing condition assessments.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and architectural teams.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submittals.
- Assist during construction administration and respond to field-related design questions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, design standards, and industry best practices.
- Support project scheduling, budgeting, and client communications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural emphasis or Structural Engineering.
- 3 years of structural design experience.
- EIT required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.
- Experience with structural analysis and design software.
- Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI, and applicable design codes.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and project coordination abilities.
Preferred Experience
- Commercial and institutional building design.
- Municipal and public infrastructure projects.
- Structural rehabilitation and renovation projects.
- Transportation-related structures.
- Construction administration and field inspections.
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, RISA, RAM, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar design software.
