Overview
We’re partnered with a reputable general contractor delivering K-12, DSA, and public works projects throughout Southern California. They’re looking to add a Project Manager who can take full ownership of projects and drive execution in a highly regulated environment.
This role is ideal for someone who’s comfortable managing multiple moving parts — from preconstruction through closeout — while working closely with field teams, subcontractors, and public agencies.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Lead projects from preconstruction through final closeout on K-12 and public works jobs
Drive scheduling, budgeting, and cost control to keep projects on track
Coordinate with field teams to maintain production, sequencing, and overall progress
Manage subcontractor buyout, scope alignment, and contract administration
Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation flow
Monitor financials including cost reports, forecasts, and project performance
Maintain and adjust schedules with real-time input from the field
Ensure compliance with DSA requirements, safety standards, and QA/QC processes
Run meetings with owners, architects, and consultants
Lead closeout efforts including punch, turnover, and final documentation

What They’re Looking For
5 years of experience managing projects with a general contractor
Experience with DSA, K-12, or California public works strongly preferred
Solid understanding of public contracting processes and compliance requirements
Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project
Ability to manage multiple projects without losing detail
Strong communication and leadership presence
