This role oversees engineering operations, capital projects, and process optimization initiatives, while partnering closely with production, maintenance, R&D, and sales. Key Responsibilities
• Lead the process engineering team, ensuring focus on product quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement
• Drive yield improvements and process optimization using Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and DOE methodologies
• Oversee capital equipment evaluations, selection, and implementation within budget
• Manage all engineering-related projects, including process improvements and new equipment installations
• Partner with R&D and sales to support new product development and process implementation
• Ensure accuracy and maintenance of BOMs and item masters within ERP systems
• Act as liaison between engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams
• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of production issues
• Work closely with maintenance to improve equipment reliability and performance
• Lead initiatives to reduce defects and improve overall product quality
• Develop, mentor, and manage engineering staff
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• 6–10 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
• Strong background in process engineering and continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, or DOE
• Exposure to capital projects and equipment implementation
• Experience working cross-functionally with R&D, production, and maintenance teams
• Familiarity with ERP systems (JDE or similar) and BOM management
• Strong communication and project management skills
