Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Account Manager to oversee and nurture client relationships, drive sales growth, and ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, exceptional customer service skills, and excellent communication abilities. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage multiple accounts while consistently delivering results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by understanding their needs and proactively addressing their concerns
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, managing day-to-day interactions and resolving issues promptly
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, production, and engineering, to ensure client requirements are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Conduct regular account reviews to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding our service offerings
- Develop and implement account-specific strategies to maximize revenue growth and client retention
- Monitor and analyze account performance metrics, preparing detailed reports for management
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to provide valuable insights to clients and internal stakeholders
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of service with clients, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term partnerships
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure manufacturing processes align with client specifications and quality standards
- Manage client expectations and communicate project updates, timelines, and potential challenges effectively
- Organize and conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits as needed
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and materials for assigned accounts
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts to drive organic growth
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the company's CRM system
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand the company's presence and generate new leads
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, preferably in the manufacturing industry
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing key accounts
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, technologies, and industry best practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Outstanding customer service orientation with a focus on building and maintaining long-term relationships
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
