The position works closely with multidisciplinary teams, contributing technical expertise to drilling, production, and facilities planning while ensuring high technical standards. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers, supporting risk assessments, and delivering clear technical insights to stakeholders.

The role also includes mentoring junior engineers, supporting risk assessments, and delivering clear technical insights to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and support to reservoir engineering teams to achieve performance objectives
- Develop reservoir management plans, strategies, and optimization programs
- Build, run, and evaluate reservoir simulation models to assess depletion strategies and technical challenges
- Perform reservoir studies including PVT, inflow/outflow analysis, relative permeability, and SCAL evaluations
- Conduct uncertainty analysis and support value-of-information studies for data acquisition planning
- Evaluate reservoir performance to support asset development and acquisition decisions
- Lead or participate in technical peer reviews to maintain high engineering standards
- Collaborate with drilling, production, and facilities teams to support integrated project execution
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies in coordination with project teams
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports to stakeholders and leadership
- Maintain accurate documentation of analyses, models, and study results
- Support regulatory compliance requirements as needed
- Mentor and guide less experienced engineers
- Facilitate team meetings and contribute to cross-functional collaboration
- Adapt to changing priorities and provide timely updates on project progress
- Strong expertise in reservoir engineering fundamentals and practices
- Advanced knowledge of reservoir simulation and dynamic modeling
- Ability to analyze complex datasets and develop data-driven insights
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5–10 years of experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas industry
- Experience with reservoir simulation, modeling, and performance analysis
- Familiarity with reservoir management practices and workflows
- Experience with data-driven tools and platforms (e.g., reservoir modeling or analytics software) preferred
- Experience in unconventional or basin-focused assets preferred
- Strong communication skills with experience presenting technical results to diverse audiences
- Ability to work in high-performance, fast-paced environments
- Willingness to travel or work in field or remote locations as required
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and support junior team members
