The Production / Flowback Operator is responsible for supporting post-fracture well operations and ongoing lease production activities. Schedule: 8 days on 6 days off Wednesday to Wednesday. Times will be 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM 10 hour days.

Job Description
The Production / Flowback Operator is responsible for supporting post-fracture well operations and ongoing lease production activities. This role involves monitoring well performance, operating and troubleshooting surface equipment, and executing flowback and production optimization tasks in a safe and efficient manner. The position requires strong field awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in high-pressure environments.
ResponsibilitiesField Operations & Monitoring
- Perform hourly rounds on producing wells following post-frac operations
- Monitor and record tubing, casing, and surface pressures
- Collect flowline and high-pressure dump samples
- Track and manage sand production, including dumping sand knockout (SKO) pots as needed
- Complete and submit daily operational reports using Excel and other digital systems
- Execute post-frac hit mitigation procedures and monitor well cleanup
- Follow controlled choke/bean-up schedules to bring wells online
- Assess need for sand control equipment and flow adjustments
- Flow wells to alternate systems (e.g., open-top tanks) when required
- Operate and troubleshoot surface production and flowback equipment
- Operate and maintain production equipment including wellheads, separators, compressors, and tanks
- Perform minor maintenance on valves, pumps, and rotating equipment
- Assist with rig-up and rig-down of flowback equipment (iron, ESDs, SKOs, tanks, etc.)
- Conduct basic safety system testing prior to returning wells to production
- Perform inspections and energy isolation (LOTO) as required
- Input work orders and maintain accurate operational documentation
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and support teams
- Track production and mitigation data using digital platforms
- Assist with transition from flowback to steady-state production operations
- Strong understanding of oil and gas production and flowback operations
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot surface equipment and well systems
- High attention to detail in data collection and reporting
- Ability to work independently in remote or high-risk environments
- Calm and effective decision-making under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Excel
- Production data and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, PI Vision)
- Field data systems (e.g., Cygnet or similar SCADA systems)
- Work management and tracking tools (e.g., monday.com or similar platforms)
- Familiarity with GIS and production monitoring systems is a plus
- 0–5 years of oilfield experience (flowback, production, or lease operations preferred)
- Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn will be considered
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training is a plus
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to work long hours, including day/night shifts and rotational schedules
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and physically demanding conditions
