The Inspection Advisor (Inspector Coordinator) II serves as a central leader for field inspection activities, providing work direction and support to 3rd party inspector contractors. Acting as the communication link between Basin Integrity Leads and external inspection services, the Inspector Coordinator supervises the scheduling, coordination, and quality of all inspection work within their area. The role is responsible for implementing and maintaining site inspection programs, ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards, and delivering comprehensive inspection documentation for pressure vessels, tanks, and piping.

Pay: $95/ hr (W2)
Schedule: 5/2 (40 hours)
Reimbursements: Travel expenses to Carlsbad, NM and outlying DelTex areas

Roles And Responsibilities
- Promote and uphold safety within all inspection activities and enforce company safety policies and standards.
- Provide work directions and logistical support for field inspection activities, acting as the focal point for 3rd party inspection crews.
- Collaborate with Basin Integrity Leads to identify inspection needs and define the workforce plan.
- Schedule, coordinate, and supervise inspection work at various project sites.
- Ensure 3rd party contractors comply with all safety standards and procedures.
- Implement and steward the site inspection program according to the specified scope of work.
- Ensure the use of approved procedures, appropriate NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) techniques, proper equipment, and qualified personnel.
- Review inspection reports for completeness and accuracy; ensure all inspection data is current and appropriately filed.
- Identify and address inconsistencies between work practices and written documentation.
- Provide feedback to Basin Integrity Leads on contract inspection personnel performance.
- Report inspection findings and recommendations to Basin Integrity Leads in a timely manner.
- Maintain equipment history and inspection records within the CMMS.
- Mentor and supervise contractor teams to ensure high-quality work delivery and safety adherence.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent industry experience).
- 6–10 years of experience in oil & gas operations, with at least 3 years in inspection coordination or integrity management.
- Strong knowledge of pressure vessel and tank inspection (API 510, API 653, API 570) and NDE methods (UT, RT, MT, PT, VT).
- Deep understanding of ASME, API, and DOT regulations; solid grasp of engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with CMMS systems (SAP, FSM, Oracle, Meridium) for managing inspection data.
- Demonstrated project coordination and scheduling skills; ability to manage multiple inspection workflows.
- Proven team supervision, contractor management, and safety leadership experience.
- Superior attention to detail and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
- Required Certification: API 653 – Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector.
- Preferred Certifications: API 510 – Pressure Vessel Inspector, API 570 – Piping Inspector, NDE Level II or III in UT, MT, PT, RT.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical reports to various stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally to project sites
