We are looking for dedicated IT Specialist (SAP Reporting & Automation Specialist) in Skaneateles New York 13153 with $35/hr pay for a 9-month contract, temp opportunity. This position will support and enhance critical business reporting systems. This role focuses on maintaining and improving SAP-based reporting, Excel automation, and Visual Basic (VBA) scripting. Must have 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or data extraction roles and strong knowledge of Oracle/SAP, Visual Basic, Excel (including Macros). – APPLY NOW!
Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM ET (flexible start time between 7–9 AM)
About the Role:
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize SAP-based reports and data extraction processes
- Analyze and manipulate large datasets to generate accurate, actionable business insights
- Build and troubleshoot Excel macros and VBA scripts to automate reporting workflows
- Improve and scale existing reporting systems for efficiency and long-term sustainability
- Identify and resolve data, reporting, and scripting issues using root cause analysis
- Partner with internal teams to gather requirements and deliver custom reporting solutions
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across all reporting platforms
- Document processes and workflows to support knowledge transfer and system continuity
What we’re looking for:
- No degree required
- Must have 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or data extraction roles
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP (data extraction, reporting, scripting)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (macros, formulas, data modeling)
- Experience with Visual Basic (VBA) for automation and troubleshooting
- Proven ability to analyze complex datasets and implement efficient solutions
- Experience improving or building scalable reporting systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced environment
