Rightstone is looking for a Finance Specialist in Houston, TX. The pay rate is $33/hr. for a 12-month contract with a strong potential for permanent hire.
In this role, you will be the financial backbone of the Gas Technology supply chain team, overseeing facility-wide finance activities. You will manage complex inventory accounting, reconciliations, and direct costing while ensuring SOX compliance and supporting the quarterly close process. This is a dynamic, onsite position (with future hybrid potential) that requires a proactive professional ready to support large-scale industrial operations across multiple Houston sites.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee and manage inventory accounting, including deep inventory analysis, adjustments, and reconciliations.
- Support the direct and indirect costing teams in manufacturing cost analysis and account reconciliations.
- Drive P&L analysis and support reporting/pacing to ensure financial transparency for the facility.
- Lead physical inventory audits and fixed asset support to ensure SOX compliance.
- Assist with high-level monthly and quarterly close activities, including reporting and auditing processes.
- Utilize Oracle/ERP systems and financial tools to maintain data integrity across the supply chain.
- Collaborate cross-functional operations and various departments to resolve financial discrepancies.
- Travel periodically to different Houston-area locations to support onsite inventory and operational needs.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required.
- 2–3 years of professional experience in accounting or finance; Oil & Gas (O&G) experience is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Oracle or similar ERP systems is required.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex data analysis).
- Prior experience with inventory accounting, direct costing, or fixed asset management.
- Audit experience (internal or external) is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with BlackLine, Oscar, or Pascal is considered a "nice-to-have."
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-departmental environment.
- Must be a proactive problem-solver with a "do whatever it takes" approach to meeting deadlines.
