- This position is 100% onsite in Skaneateles, NY.
- Primary hours are 9:00 AM 3:00 PM; typical shift 7:00 AM 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM 4:30 PM.
- Work with a leading firm to modernize and stabilize their internal reporting infrastructure. We are seeking an IT Specialist to take over and improve a suite of bespoke reports currently used by Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and Marketing departments. The core mission is to transition the company from a high-dependency legacy system to a documented, scalable, and standardized reporting environment that leverages SAP and Visual Basic.
- Analyze and run existing SAP scripts that extract data from tables for internal reporting.
- Modify and debug Visual Basic (VBA) code and macros to ensure report accuracy and stability.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to SAP variants to ensure automated "robots" can grab the correct data sequences.
- Streamline current reporting processes and create comprehensive documentation to ensure long-term maintainability.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand business needs and potentially create new scripts or reports.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience preferred, though highly "strong" candidates with 3-4 years will be considered.
- Advanced proficiency in Visual Basic (VBA) and Macro development.
- Deep experience with SAP data extraction, database tables, and variant management.
- Ability to identify and resolve code errors independently from day one.
- Must be able to work 100% on-site at the New York facility.
- Experience in creating scalable, standardized technical documentation.
- Background in Supply Chain or Master Data (though not mandatory).
- Experience with automated reporting tools or "robots".
