Richmond Community Services, a leading nonprofit provider supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Westchester County, is seeking a Full-Time Housekeeper.
This is a day-shift position with alternating weekends. Candidates with experience in floor waxing/buffing are strongly preferred. A valid NY, NJ, or CT driver’s license in good standing for at least 3 years is required.
JOB SUMMARY
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across Agency facilities. This role adheres to all infection-prevention and sanitation standards to ensure the health and safety of the individuals we support.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Housekeeping Duties
Clean and sanitize all contact surfaces and equipment, including bathtubs, toilets, bed frames, feeding pumps, mats, and related items. Tasks require bending, reaching, stooping, pushing/pulling, and lifting furniture up to 60 lbs.
Maintain all floor surfaces through sweeping, dusting, scrubbing, stain removal, and carpet cleaning; requires frequent bending, reaching, crouching, and stooping.
Clean stairwells, ceilings, and windows, including climbing and descending stairs and safely using ladders.
Properly store and handle chemicals and equipment, including measuring and pouring cleaning solutions.
Clean and sanitize housekeeping tools and equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: At least 1 year of commercial housekeeping experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver’s license with 3 years of driving experience & successful completion of Richmond’s Driver Authorization process.
