Position Summary

The Manager of Business Development will play a key role in driving strategic growth across a diverse portfolio of utility and infrastructure services. This individual will focus on identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, developing high-value client relationships, and supporting long-term revenue growth initiatives across multiple service lines.

This is a highly visible individual contributor role offering the opportunity to influence strategic direction, collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams, and contribute to major infrastructure projects that support essential utility networks and communities.

This position may be remote or hybrid depending on location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business development initiatives across multiple infrastructure and utility service lines
  • Identify, qualify, and manage new business opportunities and sales pipeline activity
  • Build and strengthen relationships with utilities, municipalities, EPC contractors, and key industry stakeholders
  • Lead proposal development and coordinate bid submissions alongside operations and estimating teams
  • Support contract negotiations while ensuring alignment with company standards and industry requirements
  • Analyze market activity, industry trends, and competitive positioning to support growth strategy
  • Prepare forecasts, budgets, and performance reporting for leadership teams
  • Collaborate on strategic initiatives and special projects that support organizational expansion and operational excellence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred
  • Background in business development within utility, infrastructure, energy, construction, or related industries
  • Understanding of utility infrastructure services including transmission & distribution, asset management, and infrastructure construction
  • Experience supporting complex project pursuits, client negotiations, and strategic partnerships
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and analytical capabilities
