JOB TITLE: FULFILLMENT AND TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Fulfillment and Transportation Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and implementation of strategies for order fulfillment, transportation, contract manufacturing, warehousing and inventory management. This role will work in close collaboration with management, sales and accounting to meet growing customer demand and on-time needs of retail partners.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Orders & Fulfillment Management
- Own the end-to-end sales order process- manual and EDI- from order intake to shipment
- Set appointments with customer routing portal systems
- Arrange transportation to ensure on-time delivery
Inventory Management Across Multiple Warehouses
- Manage finished goods and component inventories
- Oversee sales and operations planning process
- Create BOLs and shipment loading instructions and provide to warehouses in advance of pickups of orders
Amazon FBA Management
- Oversee Amazon FBA inventory, coordinating transfers and resolving shipment discrepancies
- Align FBA inventory levels with demand forecasts, sales events and marketing initiatives
NetSuite ERP & Documentation
- Maintain accuracy in Netsuite for all sales orders, transfers and inventory transactions
- Perform monthly and ad hoc inventory reconciliations to ensure system integrity
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Manage key vendor relationships
- Complete new vendor paperwork
- Partner with Demand Planning to identify trends and reorder needs in real-time
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Develop and execute transportation strategy to reduce cost while optimizing customer delivery time
- Create and manage operations scorecard and metric reporting
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and cost enhancement and lead action to realize improvements
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of professional experience in manufacturing operations, preferably with direct exposure to the following areas: contract manufacturing management, project management, cost accounting, quality and regulatory, S&OP/demand planning, warehousing and distribution, inventory management, and procurement
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field
- Experience in CPG sector required, high growth emerging business preferred
- Understanding of overall supply chain process and functions required
- Strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of best practices in CPG and warehouse operations
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems, NetSuite preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and intermediate Excel skills (formatting, vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
