What You Can Expect :

Objectives of the Position:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Warehouse Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing inventory management, returns, and claims processing within our warehouse. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

Principle Accountabilities:

Order Processing and Dispatch:

  • Receive and process outbound orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to prioritize order fulfillment and dispatch schedules.
  • Oversee the packing and labeling of goods for outbound shipments.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Implement efficient inventory control procedures to optimize warehouse space.

Returns Processing:

  • Handle customer returns in accordance with company policies.
  • Inspect returned products for damage or defects.
  • Coordinate with the customer service team to address return inquiries.

Claims Processing:

  • Investigate and process claims for damaged or missing items.
  • Collaborate with vendors and shipping partners to resolve claims promptly.
  • Document and report on the status of claims to relevant stakeholders.

System Maintenance:

  • Utilize warehouse management software to track and manage inventory.
  • Ensure accurate data entry for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, returns, and claims as needed.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the logistics team to optimize shipping and receiving processes.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to address customer inquiries related to inventory and returns.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments to streamline workflows.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Act as a liaison between the warehouse and other departments, such as customer service and transportation.
  • Collaborate with carriers and logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders on outbound order status and potential issues.

Quality Control:

  • Implement quality control measures to minimize returns and claims.
  • Identify trends in returns and claims to improve overall product quality.

What You Bring:

Education & Work Experience Requirements/Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations/coordination, inventory management, and returns processing, and outbound logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, or move around the warehouse for extended periods.
