What You Can Expect :
Financial Management & Controlling
- Lead all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and results analysis, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Prepare and present accurate, timely financial reports and forecasts, providing actionable insights to the executive team and board of directors.
- Oversee accounting and statutory reporting activities, including monthly and annual financial statements for Rhenus Warehousing Solutions and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with regulations and effective coordination with auditors and Group Accounting.
- Safeguard financial integrity through balance sheet oversight, receivables management, liquidity, and cash flow optimization.
- Provide technical and procedural leadership for investment appraisals, financing structures, banking, payment processes, and financial controlling of investments.
- Drive the continuous enhancement of financial systems and processes, with a strong focus on digitization, automation, and efficiency.
- Effectively communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities to internal and external stakeholders.
Financial Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that enable both short-term performance and long-term growth.
- Partner in the corporate and strategic development of Rhenus Warehousing Solutions North America, with direct responsibility for preparing and executing corporate planning processes across budgeting, and medium-term financial planning (MFP).
Leadership
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and structured professional development opportunities to strengthen capabilities and support career growth within the team.
Special Projects
- Lead the financial evaluation of strategic projects, including investment calculations, decision templates, and post-project analyses.
- Manage the commercial aspects of acquisitions, divestments, spin-offs, and integrations, ensuring smooth organizational and financial transitions.
- Drive financial optimization initiatives in partnership with Group Finance, including capital structure, interest rate strategies, and cost management.
- Oversee organizational adjustments and corporate restructuring activities, including renaming, rebranding, and the integration of new entities.
- Identify and implement tax optimization opportunities, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and alignment with global standards.
- Advance digitalization and automation initiatives within finance and related functions to increase efficiency and transparency.
Investment and M&A
- Evaluate potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions through comprehensive financial analysis and due diligence.
- Provide clear, data-driven recommendations on opportunities that align with the company’s strategic and financial objectives.
What You Bring:
Skill Factors (education, experience, technical, etc.)
- Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (CPA, CFA, MBA) strongly preferred .
- Strong expertise in financial management, accounting standards, tax law, and financial markets.
- Proven analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management abilities, with a high degree of empathy and advisory skills.
- Professional experience in logistics or warehousing preferred; willingness to develop deep knowledge of contract logistics operational processes if not already acquired.
- Solid IT skills, including proficiency with SAP/ERP systems; strong affinity for digitization and process automation.
