Product Sourcing Lead

Role Overview:
The Product Sourcing Lead will play a key role in driving the company’s product sourcing strategy and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective production of high-quality goods. This position will oversee the full sourcing lifecycle—from vendor selection and cost negotiations to production tracking and delivery—while collaborating closely with internal teams across production, legal, and supply chain. In this role, you’ll manage supplier relationships, evaluate manufacturing capabilities, and ensure compliance with trade and import regulations. You’ll serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and global manufacturing partners, balancing quality, cost, and speed to market. With a focus on both strategic planning and hands-on execution, you’ll leverage your analytical and sourcing expertise to identify efficiencies, forecast economic impacts, and drive continuous improvement across the sourcing function.
What You'll Do:
Sourcing and Production
- Drive the sourcing process for Box products and help to hold stakeholders accountable to key milestones including samples, quotations, cost breakdowns, approvals and OTD
- In coordination with the production team, vet and manage the capacity and production schedules through delivery for all Box manufacturing.
- Create technical specification packages for all developed merchandise including materials, measurements, and packaging used for production
- Develop and source new product concepts for licensed and owned & operated products
- Manage payment terms for all direct import programs
Supplier Management
- Drive supplier management processes including selection, onboarding, capacity planning, cost negotiations and profitability analysis and hold suppliers accountable to FFF requirements
- Help to prepare bi-annual performance reviews for suppliers, monitor, and track their KPIs
- Collaborate with legal team on master contracts, certificates of insurance and other legal documents
Economics and Trade Compliance
- Track import trade policy around duty, raw material, labor, and freight costs and forecast and communicate the impact to the organization
- Understand application of HTSUS duty impact at the product level and be able to consult back to organization on potential changes
- Analyze economic indicators and impact on the future cost of goods in key commodities
Manufacturing Expertise
- Build on manufacturing expertise, to evaluate and qualify vendors to manufacture hard and soft goods at scale.
- Ensure product is designed for repeatable manufacturing at large scale.
- Become the in-house expert on manufacturing techniques and provides alternate production and material options to mitigate costs and production risks.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, sourcing, product development, purchasing or supply chain management with a focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development
- Demonstrated ability to work in multi-cultural environment
- High degree of emotional intelligence and empathy; able to build relationships with different cultures from around the world
- Desire to create strategic plans and execute them
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate business strategy into Sourcing initiatives in a highly dynamic business environment
- Ability to develop collaborative relationships with internal and external partner

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $85,000 - $90,000
- Initial equity grant, in addition to a range of generous medical, dental, vision and other perks & benefits.
