Requirements

1 or more years of experience working in a dedicated security operations center (SOC).

Proficiency in real-time security alert monitoring and initial incident triage.

Experience with SIEM platform monitoring and interpreting complex technical event logs.

Experience in identifying and distinguishing genuine security incidents from false positives.

Experience with structured incident escalation procedures and executing standard playbooks.

Experience in shift-based operations supporting 24/7 mission-essential network monitoring.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities

Monitor security event queues and mission-essential information systems on a 24/7 rotating schedule.

Classify, prioritize, and escalate active alerts to guarantee rapid security incident resolution.

Capture and log incoming security events received from email, chat, and telecommunication systems.

Analyze security datasets to accurately isolate valid threats and minimize false-positive incidents.

Assist with containment, mitigation, and resolution efforts during active network security events.

Collaborate with senior engineers to build, refine, and update automated security playbooks.

Coordinate with external stakeholders to communicate incident severity and outline recommended response actions.
