Requirements

15 or more years of experience in Java software development and enterprise application engineering.

Proficiency in SQL database programming, relational schema evaluation, and custom script optimization.

Experience with maintaining and scaling large-scale software systems inside collaborative team environments.

Experience in Linux operating system environments, shell scripting, and server-side configurations.

Experience with migrating legacy mainframe applications to modernized Java and SQL-based ecosystems.

Experience in Agile software delivery practices and Atlassian tools including Jira.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities

Oversee full-lifecycle Java development, system testing, database package deployments, and production debugging.

Analyze system logs, memory utilization, thread connectivity, and disk input/output to troubleshoot complex application errors.

Lead database schema evaluations, custom SQL package deployments, and database trigger programming.

Direct the migration of legacy mainframe computing applications to modernized cloud and Java environments.

Coordinate, assign, and track work tasks, project scheduling, and software deliverables for programming staff.

Establish and maintain secure system backup, restore, and business continuity strategies for enterprise systems.

Author comprehensive technical architecture diagrams, operational runbooks, and end-user system guides.
