The Quality Compliance Manager ensures that Request Foods consistently meets customer expectations and regulatory requirements for food safety and quality. This role requires cross-functional collaboration to develop sustainable practices, lead audits, and communicate clearly the actions needed to achieve excellence across four facilities.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Foster a strong culture of food safety throughout the organization.
- Ensure Request Foods consistently meets customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in an efficient and effective manner.
- Managing the internal audit program for all sites.
- Leading cross functionally to ensure all teams understand the expectations that need to be met and what is needed at the time of the audits.
- Investigate and resolve food safety compliance issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), collaborating with key stakeholders ensuring timely and sustainable corrections are implemented.
- Manage and coordinate on-site customer and regulatory audits by reviewing specific requirements, identifying gaps, and mitigating risks associated with non-compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality control processes align with company and regulatory food safety compliance requirements. This shall be done in a manner that is easy and efficient for team members.
- Monitor changes in industry regulations and food safety standards, providing timely guidance and communication to relevant teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to audits, inspections, and compliance activities
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, engineering, biology/chemistry sciences, or a related field.
- Individuals must possess certifications in Internal Auditing, HACCP, and PCQI (or PCQI 2.0 without HACCP).
- 10 years of experience in quality assurance, food safety compliance, or regulatory affairs role in a manufacturing environment.
- 3 years of management experience.
- Strong knowledge of industry regulations and standards (e.g., USDA, FDA, BRC).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to lead cross-functional teams.
- Experience with auditing, CAPA processes, and risk assessment methodologies
