Sr. Staff Accountant – Property Management

What you will be doing
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Accountant with experience in property accounting. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations across multiple properties and associations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and timely month-end close.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Yardi SaaS, strong Excel proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple entities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepare financial statements for multiple HOA and condo associations
- Maintain general ledger integrity across assigned properties
- Manage accounting for multiple associations and property portfolios
- Review and reconcile association dues, assessments, and reserves
- Track and report on operating budgets and capital reserve funds
- Support annual budgets and audit preparation
- Assist with bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 7 years of accounting experience, preferably within:
- Property management
- HOA or condo associations
- Real estate accounting
- Hands-on experience with Yardi
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, financial analysis)
- High level of technical proficiency and comfort with accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple properties/entities
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
